I’ve been eating at Dave Poe’s BBQ for years, and it has consistently been one of my favorite barbecue restaurants in the Atlanta area. The barbecue is always excellent, the portions are generous, and the food is consistently fresh and flavorful. The staff is friendly, the service is quick, and the restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere that keeps me coming back. Whether it’s the pulled pork, brisket, ribs, or the sides, I’ve never been disappointed. If you’re looking for authentic barbecue and a locally owned restaurant that has stood the test of time, Dave Poe’s is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!

I put in a call in order earlier today. I ordered half a rack of baby back ribs, a pulled pork sandwich (with coleslaw), a brisket sandwich (with baked beans), and mac and cheese. All of the meats were amazing so were the beans and coleslaw. DONT GET THE MAC AND CHEESE.. it tastes a little fake. It doesn’t taste like real food and the cheese is… questionable. Also, there was a special for the half rack of ribs this week and I was still charged full price (the guy was probably a teenager so I’m not too mad about it but it’s the principle). The servers were very nice but again DO NOT GET THE MAC AND CHEESE ITS SO BAD!!! Overall the meats and sides (except the mac) were very very good!!

Dave Poe's is always one of my favorite spots to eat. His BBQ is well known in the area, and I was looking for something new. Apparently he has a Cuban sandwich now. I am not sure if it is on the menu, but you are sure going to want to try it while you can. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu, so enjoy!

The brisket was very dry and tough on my second visit. The first time I came it was much better. The mac and cheese and green beans were good both times. On my second visit, I just got the brisket and mac and cheese. Mac was great again, but the brisket was a big letdown. It seemed like it had potential, but I’m not spending $25 again for a coin flip on whether the meat’s edible. Giving it 3 stars because the sides were consistently good. Hopefully it was just an off day. If you’re looking for consistently good brisket, Heirloom Market or Owens and Hull are the way to go.

Great first visit! Cashier was super nice and helpful I did not catch her name but wanted to mention her in my review because she was so nice. If she sees this: Thank you! I ordered the rib plate with mac n cheese and collards then added a side of pulled pork. Dang it was all so good. The ribs were my favorite and they gave me a huge portion I believe it was 7 ribs! Very generous portions here. The mac n cheese was wonderful. Adding this place to my list of fav mac n cheese. I was unable to eat all my food so I took it home and it reheated beautifully in the oven the next day. Definitely going back and definitely recommend it if you are looking for some good BBQ!
